Cincinnati Chili is a unique and flavorful dish that’s traditionally served over spaghetti. Here’s a classic Cincinnati Chili recipe:

Ingredients:

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 large onion, finely chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 cups beef broth

– 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce

– 2 tablespoons tomato paste

– 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1 tablespoon chili powder

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon ground cumin

– 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Cooked spaghetti, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and kidney beans for serving

Instructions:

1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Break it up into small crumbles as it cooks.

2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot with the ground beef. Cook until the onion is softened and translucent.

3. Pour in the beef broth, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.

4. Add the cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, ground allspice, ground cloves, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir to incorporate the spices.

5. Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. The longer it simmers, the more the flavors will develop.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. To serve, place a portion of cooked spaghetti in a bowl or on a plate. Ladle the Cincinnati Chili on top of the spaghetti.

8. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and kidney beans, if desired.
